Would definitely get these again. These come with small 4 and 5 gram weights to keep the needle on th record but I found that they work fine without them, though they do come in handy when spinning when people are going to bump into your table. I purchased two of these headshells for regular use on a pair of technics sl-1210 turntables. The headshell is sturdy and easy to connect to the cartridge (stanton h5 cartridges i believe). The weights make your songs almost un-skippable, but your records wear out faster so use sparingly.
This is probably a terrific headshell, but my M95ED requires mounting screws longer than those supplied by Stanton or Shure. My M95ED fits fine in the original headshell for the turntable, and in a previous Dual turntable.
Bought an extra headshell for 78 records with a SHURE M78S cartridge. No fault of Stanton H4-S headshell. Perfect fit for using on a audio-technica AT-PL120 turntable. Had difficulty with hum problem due to the fact that the cartridge (ShureM78S)instructions are wrong (go to Shure web site)(use only one jumper for ground LG&RG only "green-blue" mono).
Nice repacement and spare part.Vrey useful if you need more tahn one.
But beware - this is not quite a universal replacement. This headshell looks nice and could work ok on some turntables. It does not properly work on my technics sl-q3 because it is much heavier than original cartridge and there is not enough range of tracking force adjustment to be able to adjust tonearm with this cartridge installed. In other words it means: it may not work for you if you care about your music collection; on the other hand if all you want is to "scratch", it would be a nice cheap cartridge.
